‘MALHAAR – Essence of Earth & Celebration of Emotions’
The grounds of National Public School Whitefield, buzzed with energy on 28 and 29 November 2024, as the school’s Annual Event ‘MALHAAR – Essence of Earth & Celebration of Emotions’ unfolded, celebrating a spectacular fusion of dance, music, and artistry. The occasion was honoured by the inspiring presence of Olympian swimmer Ms. Nisha Millet and renowned Bharatnatyam exponent Mr. Mithun Shyam.
The inaugural day celebrated the theme Panchatatva (the five elements). The program began with an insightful presentation on the essence and creation of MALHAAR. The Lamp Lighting Ceremony and Invocation Song set a tranquil mood. The Welcome Address highlighted the importance of preserving and celebrating cultural heritage, fostering a deep connection to our roots while embracing the values they instill. The dignitaries were honoured, and the Chief Guests shared motivational words on holistic education. The choir’s enchanting MALHAAR Theme Song marked the event’s opening, leading to a cultural extravaganza of band performance, a thematic skit, and stunning presentations on the five elements - Earth, Space, Water, Fire, and Air. Each presentation was a blend of storytelling, dance, and music, leaving the audience spellbound.
Day two delved into the theme of Navarasa (the nine emotions). The Principal’s Address emphasized the importance of emotions in both art and life, inspiring the audience. The nine emotions of Navarasa—Shringar (love), Hasya (laughter), Adbhuta (wonder), Raudra (anger), Veer (courage), Bhayanaka (fear), Karuna (compassion), Bibhatsa (disgust), and Shanti (peace)—were portrayed through captivating acts. The event culminated in a vibrant Grand Finale performance.
MALHAAR 2024 was a stunning showcase of creativity, leaving lasting memories and soared to success, leaving an enduring legacy of brilliance and delight.
