7B - National Mathematics Day

The students explained that National Mathematics Day, celebrated annually on December 22nd, honors the birth anniversary of the mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, as well as the contributions of many other mathematicians.

On the bright beautiful morning of 18 February 2025, Class 7B hosted the morning assembly on National Mathematics Day, beginning with an introduction to the significance of the occasion.

The students explained that National Mathematics Day, celebrated annually on December 22nd, honors the birth anniversary of the mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, as well as the contributions of many other mathematicians. They then emphasized the significance of mathematics in everyday life. The assembly emphasized that math is not just an academic subject but a vital tool used in various real-world applications.

To demonstrate this, the students performed a skit and dance showcasing how math plays a role in daily activities. The skit, set in various daily life scenarios, illustrated how mathematical concepts are applied in activities such as shopping, sports, budgeting, and managing time. The dance highlighted mathematical patterns found in nature and everyday routines.

The presentation was well-received by the audience, offering both an educational and entertaining experience. The assembly successfully deepened everyone’s understanding of the relevance of mathematics in our daily lives.
