6F Class Assembly – Altruism

Soon after the school prayer, the students of 6F took over the dais and introduced the topic- Altruism. The topic was introduced by the two anchors. As the term was new to many students, it was explained thoroughly by the whole team in different ways.

This was followed by a short skit- a modified version of the parable ‘The Good Samaritan’- related to the importance of altruism. Later, three students reported 3 incidents from newspapers regarding children helping the needy by being selfless. This was a way to motivate the students to be altruistic. Following this was a dance performance on the song ‘Heal the World’ by Michael Jackson.

The hosts concluded the assembly by reiterating the importance of being altruistic.

The assembly was well received by the teachers and audience. Principal ma’am appreciated the efforts put forth by the students and thus the assembly was dismissed.
