11C Class Assembly – Beauty Lies Within.

The hosts greeted the audience and introduced the theme for the assembly - ‘Beauty Lies Within’. The thought for the day, “Beauty exists everywhere but not everybody can see it. It cannot be seen but can be felt within.” set the tone for the assembly. This was followed by national, international and sports news and details on school events. An inspiring speech by two students on how we should not judge each other based on unrealistic beauty standards, but rather try to find the true beauty within ourselves and others was much appreciated by the audience. Students of the class also presented an enactment based on the poem ‘Anne Gregory’ by William Butler Yeats. A theme-based poster made by the class Art Team was displayed on stage. The foot tapping rendition by the class choir had the whole school clapping along. The hosts signed off with a thank you note. The entire class participated in the class assembly and each student contributed to the different presentations thereby displaying an efficient and grand teamwork.
