Independence Day

15th August 1947 is a red-lettered day in the pages of the history of our country and the 77th Independence Day was celebrated with boundless patriotic zeal and enthusiasm at NPS Whitefield. The event was graced by the esteemed chief-guest, Director, Mr Tanuj Garg. The solemn ceremony of flag-hoisting and the singing of the National Anthem filled the air with pride and glory for the nation.

The discipline, coordination and synchronization of the students during the marchpast was an affirmation of how they are well on path to becoming responsible individuals committed to serve the nation in their own ways. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and spoke about the glorious ‘Amrit Kaal’ that the country is going to witness in the coming 25 years. He also stressed upon the need to prioritize the well-being and progress of our nation above personal gains.

After the soulful Invocation Dance, to add more cheer and colour to the celebration of the tri-colour, inter-house competitions were held which brought to the fore the spirit of freedom, belongingness and oneness. The resounding echo of – ‘Nation First, Always First’ filled the atmosphere. The clap drill by the students of Class 6 fetched the rhythm and beat which displayed exemplary eye-hand coordination.
